Membership Meeting Wednesday, Feb 1, 2023

Just a reminder that we have our first membership meeting of the new year on February 1, 2023. It is scheduled for 1:30-2:30 p.m. and will be online. Contact Samantha Blevins (sblevins@radford.edu) for the meeting link.

Our topic for the meeting is eSports programs. If you know of others at your university who would like to join us (or you have someone directly involved in an eSports programing at your institution), please feel free to also invite them to our meeting.

NLCVA 2019 Annual Retreat Scheduled

Our annual retreat will be held Tuesday, April 30th from 10-3 pm at the University of Virginia. Additional information about parking, campus location, and connecting via Zoom for those who cannot attend in person will be forthcoming.

In-person registration is required so we can provide lunch. Please email jquarles@virginia.edu if you plan to attend in person and please let me know of any dietary restrictions. Jenny is still working on an agenda, but our main focus will be a strategic plan for NLCVA and any next steps needed for becoming an independent entity.

The leadership team has selected this date to connect to the “Innovations in Pedagogy Summit,” taking place on Wednesday, May 1st from 9-3 pm. The Innovations in Pedagogy Summit is a free professional development event, but registration is required. Visit their website to learn more and to register.

Annual Retreat May 21, 2018

NLCVA’s Annual Retreat is scheduled for Monday, May 21, 9:30-3:00. We will meet in Room E of Zehmer Hall on UVA’s campus. The details are as follows:

Virginia Tech coordinated and hosted the 2018 Conference on Higher Education Pedagogy or CHEP. Virginia Tech is a founding member of the NLCVA organization (when it was known as ECVA) and has remained an active participant. Through our Event Sponsorship program, NLCVA had the opportunity to sponsor the event by covering food costs for the conference reception, which took place Wednesday, February 14 in the Skelton Conference Center.
